I did not know that there were several kinds of twilight before I got interested in night photography.

full moon over the bridge

This is the full moon over the Oresund bridge on 2nd July in nautical twilight and it was as dark as it got that night.

More twilight starting at Francesca’s FuoriBorgo.

  1. This is so interesting, Dorte! And the image stunning! I was just commenting on Nadine’s blog how we Italians don’t have a word for twilight at all – maybe we aren’t very good night photographers :)

  2. Wow! That is such an amazing photo, and yes, so interesting about the different twilights. Also I harken back to Nadine`s post where she told us in France the color is blue and the time is 10minutes so I am fascinated in this CV to learn some of these intricacies about twilight!! I always just kind of stumble on it in awe as the day turns to night, never giving a thought to its technicalities, so its eye-opening and fun!! You are really becoming such an exquisite photographer. Always were, but now as you are entering these perfectly timed spaces , makes them even more exquisite!!♡

  3. that is interesting, very interesting. I would assume it would be very different is different parts of the world.

I love your photo – the blue is gorgeous!
