Windowsill

or window sill (don’t know if both are correct). I think all homes in Denmark have windows with indoor window sills. I don’t have them in my home in Spain and sometimes I miss having a place to put stuff, like pretty flowers in a vase or a candle light.

The pics above are from my visit end of May. Tomorrow I am flying up there again for a short visit.

Monochrome

In a previous post more than a month ago I mentioned that I was going to Paris and Copenhagen. I have been now and the top photo is taken in the courtyard of Palais Royal. If you want to see more Paris photos I posted some on my Flickr stream.

The middle photo is from Copenhagen, not that you can tell from a photo of lamp though, but it is kind of monochrome, this week’s cornerview theme. Anyhow, most of the photos I took there were of my little grandson and will not be published.

The last one is from a small pretty and touristy village, Mijas, close to my corner. They host an annual photo marathon which I participated in. One theme was Shadows and this was one of my attempts, a section of a lace curtain making shadows on the white wall.

More cornerviews starting at Francesca’s FuoriBorgo.

A week of colors: fern

pool turned green
spearmint along the road
cactus
fraction of fern
Our pool turned green (it is so very hot here these days and the pool has been in use … a lot) and is being nursed now.
My youngest had found wild spearmint down our road and the cactuses have just been planted around husband’s observatory as the puppies liked to snack on the agapanthus and estrelizias I had there before.
The fern is being nursed too and is in the window sill on the terrasse so high up that puppies can not get to the leaves.

Francesca is hosting a Week of Colors. Have a look at her shades of fern.
